About Experience Northern Ireland
Experience Northern Ireland is a division of Carrickfergus Enterprise devoted to supporting local businesses in Tourism & Hospitality, to grow, sustain and increase employment and work together in collaboration.
Carrickfergus Enterprise is committed to business development, since 1981 our ethos remains the creation of jobs and economic growth. From 2016 to 2018 we supported over 60 businesses in the Tourism & Hospitality sector via a specific tourism coastal project.
As the fastest growing sector in Northern Ireland, Carrickfergus Enterprise has listened to this sector and developed a Northern Ireland journey planning tool that businesses and visitors wanted to ‘connect the dots’ between accommodation, places to visit and things to do.
As a social enterprise (registered with the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland NIC101615), the ethos will be to reinvest and develop Experience Northern Ireland as an online journey planner for the benefit of each business.
Experience NI is all about focusing on the visitor experience when travelling to Northern Ireland by creating holiday and vacation itineraries. The user is in control and it captures several aspects of a visitor’s journey from accommodation, tour providers, food and heritage experiences, where to eat and what to do as well as major attraction to visit. There is the ability to create and save itineraries or simply to explore the area via the journey planner. A great online tool to plan a road trip.
Experience Northern Ireland seeks to provide support to the local business community as well as promoting tourism in Northern Ireland. As a result, we are consistently investing and improving the online journey tool, including the development of a free APP.
