Bay Cottage is a friendly, family run B&B and is one of the quietest Bed and Breakfasts close to Belfast International Airport. We have comfortable rooms with wonderful views, cater for vegetarians, vegans and other dietary requirements, have off road parking and can accommodate bikes, motorbikes, canoes and dogs.

Bay Cottage is ideal for those wishing to have a base for touring N.I, either for work or pleasure or for those who just want a quiet break. Though we are on the shores of Lough Neagh it is only a 30-minute drive to Belfast city centre, 25 minutes to Ballymena or Lisburn, 50 to the Giant’s Causeway and we are halfway between Antrim and Crumlin (10 minutes in opposite directions). We are happy to do runs to the local public transport links and the airport. There is space for cars, dry storage for bikes, motorbikes, canoes and sports equipment. We also have a kennel and run for visiting dogs.

Breakfast is prepared using local produce, which includes our own free-range eggs, bacon and sausage made from free-range pigs and fruit juice produced by a local manufacturer from Co. Armagh apples. Evening meals are by arrangement and guests can opt for a main meal or a light supper, time arranged to be mutually convenient. Please mention any dietary requirements when booking. We use local produce whenever possible and are happy to explain the origins or ingredients in any of our dishes.

Bed and Breakfast

Our rooms have the usual facilities such as TV, hospitality tray, clock/radio, hairdryer and binoculars – essential to see the wonderful variety of bird life at close quarters. There is a fiction library and an extensive collection of tourist literature. The rooms have wonderful views over Lough Neagh.

Guests also have the use of a large comfortable sitting room with TV, board games, jigsaws etc. We encourage guests to sit downstairs and chat either with us or each other, or of course sit quietly and plan their visits to Belfast for the Titanic Exhibition or Antrim Round Tower or the wonderful National Trust properties in Counties Tyrone and Armagh. Tea/coffee and scones or cake is served in the sitting room on arrival so that you can relax after your journey. Breakfast and evening meals are served in the Dining Room.

The Blue Room

En suite, has a large double bed and a sofa which opens into a standard double bed. The latter is excellent for small children.

The Green Room

Standard double bed and a single bed so can be used as a twin or for a couple with a child. This has a private bathroom across the corridor which has a bath/shower and is family sized bathroom.

The Hayloft at Bay Cottage

This is a very flexible apartment. It can be rented as a self-catering unit or on a Bed and Breakfast basis. It provides an ideal base for a family or small group of friends to visit Belfast, Giant’s Causeway or cycle along Sustrans Route 94, or of course attend the Ulster Grand Prix or one of the other County Antrim road races.

There is an open plan living/dining/cooking area. The kitchen has a fridge, gas hob, multi-function microwave, cutlery and china and cooking utensils etc. There is a large dining table which seats six. The living area has a flat screen TV, Blu ray DVD player, comfortable seats, including a sofa which opens into a double bed. There is also a deck at the same level which has stunning views across Lough Neagh and is perfect for sipping a drink during long evenings.

The bedroom has a twin/super-king bed arrangement and a small sofa which opens into a 4ft bed. The bathroom has a bath/shower and the usual facilities.

*PLEASE NOTE THAT THE BATHROOM CAN ONLY BE ACCESSED THROUGH THE BEDROOM*
